About Centre for Course Choice Advice
Are you a student at Hogeschool Utrecht (HU) or Universiteit Utrecht (UU) and having doubts about the programme you have chosen? Or are you interested in finding out more about (other) Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees? Centre for Course Choice Advice can help you with advice and guidance. We are also able to offer individual guidance and a number of tests in English. Centre for Course Choice Advice works by appointment only. Below are our services and conditions.
- Advisory session: Rethinking your degree choice (including an interests test):
You can make an appointment with the course choice adviser to talk about the programme you have chosen. Perhaps you want to discuss your doubts, perhaps you also want to talk about changing programme. Our advisers are up-to-date on the higher education programmes are available in the Netherlands. They are also experts in helping students make choices.
Follow-up session
If necessary, you can schedule one or more follow-up sessions.
All advisory sessions and follow-ups are free of charge to UU and HU students.
- Advisory session: Choosing a Master’s degree
If you have difficulty choosing a Master’s degree programme, you can make an appointment with the course choice adviser. The adviser can help you find information about Master’s degrees in the Netherlands and abroad. Advisory sessions are free for UU and HU students.
Booking an appointment with or without a test
You can book your appointment with Centre for Course Choice Advice online at www.centrumstudiekeuze.nl/afsprakenrooster (information in Dutch only) *.
If you are finding it difficult to book an appointment online, send an email to centrumstudiekeuze@hu.nl asking to schedule a session. Make sure to include your phone number so that we can give you a call.
Before your appointment, you can do an online course choice test in English to help you decide on a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme. If you are interested, send an email to centrumstudiekeuze@hu.nl asking for your login details. You can do the test at home and bring the results to your appointment.
*Please note: If you do the test at home, you do not need to arrive for your appointment half an hour in advance!
